Great as a base layer in cool weather, the Woolpower LITE crewneck can be used in combination with other Woolpower layers, or used as a thermal layer during aerobic activity in colder weather.
The long sleeved Woolpower LITE crewneck is made of 1x1 rib knit with color contrasting, light green seams. The lengthwise seams are curved from the front to the back for optimal fit, and the sleeves have raglan seams to prevent any seam rub when carrying a backpack, canoe pack, or hydration bladder.
Woolpower LITE is a blend of superfine merino wool (19.5 microns) and nylon that is soft, smooth stretchy, wicks moisture, and combats build up of odour and bacteria. Very different from typical wool, merino wool isn't itchy or scratchy, and can be worn directly up against the skin.
Unlike Woolpower's original line, the Woolpower LITE collection doesn't feature terry loop knitting on the inside of the fabric, which makes it a lighter weight garment. The weight of the LITE collection makes it excellently suited for doing highly aerobic activities in the winter (such as cross country skiing or snowshoeing), or for use in the shoulder season (spring or fall), or if you are just looking for a lighter weight base layer to keep you warm and comfortable.
All Woolpower products are still made in Sweden and include a seamstress' tag with the name of the person who made it top-to-bottom - so you know with Woolpower clothing you're getting a top quality product that will perform.
