About Men's Base Layers

All of our Men's base layer thermals are woven and sewn in Sweden from muelsing free merino wool. Due to it's fine nature (less than 20 micron diameter), merino wool hairs bend when they make contact with skin, as opposed to poking into the skin as with thicker diameter standard wool (which causes an itch). Merino wool wicks moisture away from the skin (key to keeping warm), can absorb 30% of it's weight in moisture before it feels wet, and retains body heat even if it is wet. Add to this is ability to limit the growth of bacteria and odour, and self cleaning properties, and it becomes clear that wool base layers are indispensable when dressing for the outdoors in all times of year.
