Savotta Askare Hip Pack

The Savotta Askare Hip Pack is a quite large (7L | 427 cubic inch ) fanny pack that also functions as a over the shoulder sling pack, and as a modular extension to other MOLLE/PALS equipped backpacks. The interior rear wall has two rows of 50 mm elastic webbing sewn onto it, forming loops of various sizes - the lower row is sewn with two large 17 cm (6.7') wide loops, while the upper row is sewn into three smaller 12 cm (4.75") wide loops designed for magazine carry in military applications, but useful also for storage of gloves, mitts, ponchos, bug nets, tinder storage, mess tins, etc..

The interior front wall has two flat compartments, with tie-down loops on top, and a 35 x 10 cm (13.75" x 4") hook and loop surface on the inside of the front all allows you to attach of all sorts of hook-backed organizers (sold seperately). The Askare's waist strap can be stowed inside the back of the pack, and the back functions as a large belt loop for connection onto regular belts, or waist belts on backpacks or canoe packs.

The outside of the Askare sports PALS webbing on the sides for attaching small pouches and accessories to the outside of the pack. The horizontal webbing on the front of the pack can be used to attach small pouches or elastic cord loops. The numerous webbing loops around the sides of the pack can be used to attach carabiners, or elastic cord to carry all kinds of gear on the bottom and front of the bag (ponchos, tarps, etc..).
