The Lynx 4ft Premium Crosscut Saw provides the same made in England construction as it's smaller 3ft brother, but with extra length and cutting teeth - ideal for cutting larger diameter timbers, or for anyone looking for a longer cutting stroke in a one-person saw. This 4ft saw is ideal for anyone needing to buck up, or take down dry medium to hard woods without the noise and smell of a chainsaw.
An heirloom quality saw made in Sheffield England by Thomas Flinn & Co (where they've been making saws since the 18th century), the Lynx brand 4 ft crosscut saw teeth that can be sharpened; a rare commodity these days, as many saw blades made today are impulse hardened and aren't meant to be sharpened.
Like the 4ft Lynx Crosscut Saw, the 3Ft Lynx Crosscut Saw features large, 2 TPI Great American toothing pattern, a beech handle, and an auxiliary handle that can be fastened either near the main handle to help with single person use (especially handy when felling or bucking up deadfall - especially at odd angles), or near the end of the blade for two person use.
Great American Toothing
The Great American (also referred to as a "crown") tooth pattern has 3 tooth points, and large gullets between the sets of teeth - which effectively clear the kerf of waste wood material when cutting dry, medium-to-hardwoods.
