The Lynx 3ft Premium Crosscut Saw with Champion toothing pattern is ideal for anyone needing to buck up, or take down green or dry softwoods, green hardwood, or any wet/frozen timbers without the noise and smell of a chainsaw.
An heirloom quality saw made in Sheffield England by Thomas Flinn & Co (as they have been since the 18th century), the saw features teeth that can be sharpened; a rare commodity these days as many saw blades made today are impulse hardened and aren't meant or able to be sharpened.
The 3Ft Lynx Champion Crosscut Saw features large, 1.2 TPI Champion toothing pattern, a beech handle, and an auxiliary handle that can be fastened either near the main handle to help with single person use (especially handy when felling or bucking up deadfall - especially at odd angles), or near the end of the blade for two person use.
Champion Toothing
The Champion (similar to Tuttle Tooth) tooth pattern has separate cutting and raking teeth, with large gullets between the teeth, which helps clear the kerf of waste wood material when cutting green hard woods, green or dry resinous softwoods, or wet or frozen wood.
