Morakniv has created a selection of hook knives in various configurations to tackle any carving project you've got in mind. From paddles to spoons, bowls to tool handles, Mora has a hook knife for that! All handles are made of oiled birchwood, and feature a stainless steel blade. Sheaths are also available for added protection.
The Morakniv 162 wood carving hook knife features a 2", full curve stainless steel blade, sharpened on both edges for left or right handed use. The 162 has an Inner radius of 15mm, and a blade length of 52 mm.
The Morakniv 163 wood carving hook knife features a 2.5", curved stainless steel blade, sharpened on both edges for left or right handed use. Excellent for shaping paddle shafts, tool handles, or other applications where rounding is required. Blade length 61 mm.
The Morakniv 164 is similar to the 162 hook knife, but is sharpened on one side only (select either right or left hand use), and sports a tapered blade edge. Like the 162, it also features a 2" curved stainless steel blade, has an Inner radius of 15mm, and a blade length of 52 mm. The 164's single edged, tapered blade with a point is great to use as a pivot, or for removing wood in hard to reach areas (under lips, or ledges).
