The Velvicut Hudson Bay Belt Hatchet features a 1.25lb forged head that sports the traditional Hudson Bay pattern - geometry that is equally adept at collecting, chopping, and splitting wood - making it highly versatile hatchet that is compact, and eminently packable.

Forged from 5160 steel, the Hudson Bay Belt Hatchet has a convex edge with an upswept toe on the bit - providing a keen point for carving, while still having enough heft for splitting. The 14" hickory handle is expertly fitted, and the axe comes with an included leather mask, or can be purchased with a full grain bridle leather sheath.
