Ivanhoe of Sweden's Stormy Hat addresses this issue - by including an internal windproof synthetic liner to block the wind. The Ivanhoe Stormy Hat is knitted with a 100% wool outer layer, a 100% Tencel (lycocel) inner layer over the ears, with a nylon lining between the two layers - protecting the wearer's ears and head in even the nastiest of conditions.
