Gränsfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet

The Gränsfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet is a small, light axe which can be easily carried, masked with its leather sheath, inside your pack or on your belt. The blade is sharp like a knife, and holds that edge. Like all Gransfors axes, the head of the Wildlife Hatchet is hand forged in Sweden.

This is the smaller brother to the Small Forest Axe - they have slightly different head geometries but the weight and handle size are the most predominant differences.

It features a 1lb head and a 13.5" handle, making it a perfect size for keeping on your hip and being able to use one handed for maintaining a trail, doing smaller work, or for carving or making feather sticks. It's a handy little hatchet to keep at the ready. Even with a small axe you can manage a lot: cut branches in the backyard or chop and split sticks for a campfire.
