Ferrocerium (a blend of iron, cerium and magnesium ) when scraped, produces molten globules of burning metal - highly effective at catching tinder materials alight in any temperature, and even when wet. This 1/2" thick ferrocerium replacement rod is designed for use specifically with the Exotac FireROD XL and comes with an extra O-ring. To replace, simple unscrew the old rod, and thread in the new one. An optional drop of loctite can be used to assist with keeping the rod secured if it comes loose.
