The Esker Hatchet features a hand forged 1.6lb head that is made by master craftsmen in Austria, that is then paired with a 16" Canadian made hickory handle and Canadian made full grain leather mask. The Esker Hatchet excels at field and camp chores; be they clearing a trail/limbing, or splitting kindling and smaller firewood, but allows for the user to choke up on it's ergonomically designed handle for finer, more controlled tasks such as carving or shaving.
