The No.10 Swedish Forest Knife was the first knife that Casström designed, and brings with it an ergonomically shaped, medium sized handle, a 4" (103mm) blade in either carbon or stainless steel, various grinds, and the ability to perform camping, hunting, bushcraft and survival tasks with this robust, all-around full tang, full service outdoor knife.

Available handle materials include oiled curly birch, stabilized curly birch, oak, micarta, or G10.

Available steels are either Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel which provides a unique combination of excellent edge performance (stability and ability to take an edge), high hardness, and very good corrosion resistance. Casström adds a cryogenic treatment cycle at subzero temperatures with the use of liquid nitrogen after the blade quenching to make their blades harder and improve the steel structure.

Also available is Uddeholm Sleipner carbon steel that when combined with Casstrom's cryo quench process, allows the knife to keep a sharp and durable edge for longer, along with better edge retention during very hard use without chipping while still being relatively easy to sharpen. Due to the 8% chromium content, it will resist corrosion to some degree compared to regular carbon steel (around 0.5% Cr) but not as well as stainless steel (13% Cr). Therefore, the blade should be dried after use and protected with oil or wax when stored in a high-humidity environment.

Available grinds are Scandinavian grind which allows for a very keen edge which is excellent for wood working (carving, shaving, splitting), provides a strong tip for drilling or boring, and is easily field sharpen-able, or a Full Flat grind which is better suited to hunting and skinning applications where cutting, slicing, skinning, and filleting are the prime uses.

All No.10 SFK knives come with a fully welted, veg tanned sheath with a drain hole, and a 25 year warranty.
