Casstrom No.14 Swedish Forest Knife

The No.14 Swedish Forest Knife is the largest of Casström's SFK models, and sports a 14cm (5.5") long, 4.2 mm thick blade. Due to its size, the No.14 Swedish Forest Knife excels at splitting wood, but is still agile enough for finer tasks like carving. The blade is made of A8 Mod (non-stainless steel ) processed with Casström's signature "Cryo Quench" hardening - which adds a cryogenic treatment cycle at subzero temperatures with the use of liquid nitrogen after the blade quenching to make their blades harder and to improve the steel structure. The A8 Mod steel was selected for the No.14 SFK for its durability, and by adding a small secondary bevel to the front of the blade, will allows for chopping with it, with a lower risk of severe edge damage. The SFK No.14 comes with a fully welted vegetable tanned leather welted sheath with a draining hole, and optional matching fire striker.
