About Socks

Socks can be the difference between having a good time outdoors, or being miserably fixated on how cold your feet are. It could even be said that socks can make the difference between a good trip and a bad one. Like all other clothing, socks should be layered to accommodate temperature and level of activity, keeping in mind one key factor: how much room is available in your shoe or boot. Ironically, wearing too many socks can sometimes make your feet colder: a foot compressed in footwear suffers from poor circulation, and this leads to cold feet. Socks that wick moisture away from the skin will help keep feet dry and comfortable, and wool socks will keep feet warm - even when wet.
