Outdoor Cotton and Wool Pants
Materials matter - especially when it comes to pants. For reasons of durability, and functionality, we’re big fans of pants made from cotton and wool.
Cotton provides tough, hard wearing pants that can are wind proof, and can be waxed to be made waterproof. Hauling rough barked logs back to the camp site? No problem. Climbing over sharp limbed deadfall to collect firewood? No problem. Cotton canvas pants are tough, durable, and able to withstand the rigours of the boreal forest.
Wool pants are second to none in winter, or shoulder season weather. Providing excellent warmth and breathability, wool pants allow you to be covered in snow, but never feel the moisture against your skin (your body heat will melt, and dry the outer face of the pants in winter). In cold, damp, fall or spring weather, wool pants can absorb 30% of their weight in moisture before feeling wet, and provide outstanding thermal protection while offering excellent durability and longevity.
