The Helle GT Knife is a great choice if you're looking for a general outdoor purpose knife with a larger blade, want excellent edge retention, but want to keep the weight of the knife down.
The Helle GT Knife is a large North American-style outdoor knife that comes in two blade options: H3LS triple laminate stainless (contains two types of steel; a very hard steel on the blade edge to hold that sharp edge, and a softer steel around the core to allow for flex), or Aleima 14C28N stainless steel, which provides more rigidity, excellent edge sharpness, stability and corrosion resistance.
The Helle GT Knife is suitable for medium to larger sized hands, putting it in the same size range as the Helle Alden, and Helle Temagami knives.
The Helle GT is not a full tang knife but a stick tang, which makes it lighter weight and more nimble. The knife also features an aluminum/leather finger guard to keep weight down. The GT's sheath that has a buckle just above the finger guard, so once in it's sheath you can be assured the knife will stay there.
